Author: Douglas Adams
Series: Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy
Second book in the series. The author not only maintained the pace of history but also made it even funnier. I thought this book was even better than the first. There are critics/skits about some interesting subjects.
The characters split up and rejoin, going back and forth through time/space, to find the man who really rules the galaxy. On the way they find some old friends of Zaphod, that helped in his conspiracy, which he does not remember.
By the way, Zaphod is my favorite character. Think of something bizarre and multiply it by 1000. That's Zaphod Beeblebrox!
While reading the book, I thought: 'How could this guy be a president?'. Then I stopped to think about my country's politicians and realized it wasn't so strange after all... Sad, isn't it?
I found the end quite unexpected. It makes you curious to know which direction the story will take.
